Pushing the boundaries with art and fashion this piece takes up-cycling and high heels to the next level. Using the shoes themselves as the blank canvas, they are a-fixed to the board and the work begins. With an abstract approach initially the base is built up using multiple mark making techniques. Magazine pieces are added to create the narrative and slowly each shoe develops its own story and personality. Resin is partially used for added effect showing a glossy area as well as securing the shoes firmly in place. This extremely unique 3D piece of art is set in an up-cycled vintage baroque frame painted in chalk white.

Please note the frame is not perfect due to its age, this does however add to the authenticity of the artwork itself.
