Taking my Quirky Queue style and creating it in iconic locations the Abbey Road composition was a perfect placement. The piece itself starts with a very abstract beginning where multiple mediums are used to fill the canvas. Mark making is sporadically placed in acrylics, watercolours, inks, leads and magazine pieces. This is the base to then start to build up the scene. 3D elements are created at the forefront in sand and glue around the zebra crossing. The scene is brought to life with the paper-doll style cut outs created from fashion magazines and the abstract recycled nail polish heads.
